Well yes! You learn new things every day. Exam period is always a stressful time for some people, but I intend to go with the flow.

A stark realization

I seem to be a huge Justin Timberlake fan!!!
I have a lot on my mind tonight and music usually clears my head. Checking through my CD collection as well as my music video collection I realized that I have:
- 2 NSync CDs
- 1 Justin Timberlake CD
- 3 music videos one with him in it!

I was watching the video with NSync and I realised that he was always placed in the front. He was always given the limelight. Hmmm..I wonder how the other guys felt.
I heard him say that he has a new album coming out soon. I'll buy it.

Soca Warriors

All good things must come to an end.

The soca warriors are coming home. But they did us porud as a country. Thye played well and I believe this experience can serve as a lesson for the youth to take heed of. Lots of people thought that the team was going to play a lot of mess, but they were proven wrong. Just cause people say bad things about you, that doesnt mean that you have to accept it.

Hopefully these guys will have people banging on their doors to offer them contracts. I wish them all the best.

On pause

I feel sometimes likee someone pressed the pause button on my life.
I graduated a while now and I cant seem to figure out what course of studies I want to take. I know that I want to stay in teaching for a while, but there arent a lot of courses available.

I have been working for 5 years and I dont think I have anything to show for it. Most of my money goes into paying bills.

Sometimes I feel as if life is just passing me by.......I know that I have grown and matured a lot over the years. And I am ready for change. Good change, positive change.

I got up this morning at 8am to watch "Shall We Dance?" I love dance movies. I used to do some latin dancing a few years ago and I really enjoyed the classes but they ended due to bad vibes.

I enjoyed this movie so much, especially the scene depicted on the right. Watch the movie and you'll see what I mean. Tears rolled down my face.

Windfall

There is a new show on NBC entitled 'Windfall' and it chronicles the lives of 20 people who won the lottery. But of course, money changes everything.

I always fantasized about what I would do with 1 million TT. Not a lot, given the state of things in Trinidad these days. But I would definitely buy a house. I could furnish it how I would like because I wouldnt have to worry about mortgage payments. I would definitely still have to work, but at least I would own my own house.

update

I havent blogged in a while.

Today is the second match that Trinidad and Tobago will be playing the World Cup ( La Copa Mundial) and I am really nervous about this one. They are up against England, so we can only hope that things go well. T minus 37 mins.

Work has been fine this week. Less stress that the boss is not here. Things are more relaxed and easy going. I like that.

I went into POS and I must say I HATE POS. The driving, the lack of manners, the way people walk..AAARRGGGHHH! it really sucks.

This week and next week are short weeks, I like that!!!

Tell dem we reach!

I remember when a lot of people made a big deal about Ludacris using pan and Trinidad's flag during his performance at some MTV event. I couldnt see what the big deal was and how that was doing anything for Trinidad.

But I watched the first World Cup match that Trinidad and Tobago played and I was filled with immense pride. I thought we were going to get about 3, but our defense and SHAKA! managed to prevent that from happening.
Everyone underestimated our team, but they showed the world what they were made of.

Carlos Edwards, Sancho and Yorke played well today. I eh no football expert but they looked good out there. I dont have the 30,000$ to put out to go Germany, but just for today I wished I was there.

Good luck to our warriors on Thursday.

What a weekend!

*sigh*

Being a teacher can be one of the most heartbreaking jobs ever. You go to work every day ready to give your best to these students, and one of them would just tell a lie on you without any provocation.
According to one student, I am a teacher yes, but I also have another job and he saw me in this other job.
At the time I heard that, I was LIVID, but after spending my weekend over the toilet bowl, I kinda laughed it off a bit...just a bit.
