spell check, anyone?

I hate bad spelling.
Now there is supposedly a disability called dysgraphia.

Symptoms of dysgraphia
A mixture of upper/lower case letters, irregular letter sizes and shapes, unfinished letters, struggle to use writing as a communications tool, odd writing grip, many spelling mistakes (sometimes), pain when writing, decreased or increased speed of writing and copying, talks to self while writing, and general illegibility. Reluctance or refusal to complete writing tasks.

I remember giving a Spanish test and students had to give me the english for los patines which is roller skates. I teach 2 form two classes and in both of them, students could not spell roller skates.It's amazing. Children are coming into sec school not being able to spell. They also going in to the workplace not being able to spell either then come on internet forums and irritate the hell out of me.

I hate when I tell people good news and their response is a very lacklustre one. I sent out an email telling people about something that is great in my life and only my true friends were genuinely happy.

Ah well...I guess that is how it goes, but at least it gives me an indication....

Update

So Christmas is over. I got some really lovely presents this year. So that means on the 27th, I have to hustle to POS to get some gifts.
I am on vacation right now and enjoying the quiet time, but I am actually doing work too. My brain needs some kind of stimulation and while watching a marathon of "Arrested Development" on G4 was cool, I yearn for something else. So I have begun lesson planning. Actually this is my last week of vacation time, so I need to be amply prepared for the new term. Nerdy, I guess, but I like being prepared.

The controversy surrounding Donald Trump and the Miss Universe situation is annoying me. That girl has been tested positive for cocaine, she has to go to rehab, she was also caught kissing Miss Teen USA. Basically she went wild when she came to NY. She was given a second chance. Miss Nevada went really wild and there are a series of pics online showing her kissing other girls, showing her boobs etc and she was dismissed immediately. What made those two situations different? Poor Miss Nevada, she probably thought she would have gotten a second chance too.
One thery flying around the internet is that because the runner up for the title is black, Trump would rather keep Ms. Universe. Dunno how true that it but it is quite interesting.

Crime in this country is seriously worrying me. I really dont feel safe anymore. I really hope the lastest kidnap victim will be returned to her family soon.
