Little House on the Prairie

I have been watching this show on TVland and I absolutely LOVE it. It has a lot of good lessons to learn and Charles Ingalls is an example of a good father.
This show used to air on TBS in the morning during the week, but that has stopped.

my thoughts

I travelled on the subway and I had a lot of thoughts rolling through my head. I couldnt read because I didnt want to miss my stop. Here are some things I came up with:

1. I am definitely going to start back dancing. I am watching all these dancing shows and I am feeling the vibes.
2. I am going to put a hella of a lot more thought into my appearance. That means pedicures, hairdos, new clothes, the works.
3. Going to be more consistent in my exercise. No silly excuses. I am going three times a week and have a banging body.
4. Buy more books to read.

*sigh*

Life is what you make it. Sometimes it goes smoothly, sometimes things just pop up out of the blue. You have to learn to deal with it.

Mr Roboto

This guy was cool. He was pretending to be a robot. He would stand still like in the picture, then he would move and make noises with his mouth, like when a robot moves. I didnt tip him though.

my trip

I went gambling in Atlantic City. My mom, her friend and I boarded a bus in Brooklyn made the trek. The bus's AC wasnt working and it was rainig, so that made things uncomfortable, but we arrived in one piece. When we got there the casino gave us $15 to play with.

I played the slots. I spent 40$ and the highest amount I won was $15.75.

my trip

My visit with one of my good friends is over. I am heading back to NY today. I took no pictures while I was in Tampa, so I cant show anyone the sushi bar I went to or the nice Italian restaurant I had lunch at where I had a nice serving of Fettucine and chicken. Ah well.

One thing I liked here was the customer service. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday and about THREE people asked us if we needed help. I liked that. We went to the post office and the lady said, 'Can I help the next person in line?"..not 'NEXT!' like back home.

Ah well..vision 2020 eh...

The love of my life

This trip is a good one. I get to spend time with my mother and best friend. But I miss him terribly. This is the first time that we have been apart from each other for so long.

This experience has shown me that I cant do the long distance thing. The Messenger conversations and the occasional phone calls are not enough. What satisfies me is that I know I will be on a plane in a week's time to be with him, so it's not bad.

Kudos to all those on LDRs.

My Vacation

So I am in Tampa right now visiting my best friend. It's very relaxing. It's good that I have been able to see her house. It's really nice. It has a backyard and access to a community pool.
The week is flying by so fast. Soon I will be on a plane back to NY.

The airline I used to come to Tampa is called JetBlue. I am so pleased with their service. You can check in yourself either online or using Kiosks at the airport. I didnt have to line up to check in. FANTASTIC!
The flight arived in Tampa earlier than expected and you get to watch Directv. No stupid in-flight movie. I watched what I wanted.
Bwee should look into having those kiosks. At least for Tbago.

My first week.

So this is my first week in NY. It has been a whirlwind. Every day going somewhere and buying something. My mother is an early riser and likes to do things early and is very thorough so she has been showing me all the cool places to shop.

I saw a coworker today. OMG! Of all the places! Brooklyn??? *sigh* If I see a student, I am leaving this place.

I have been getting some good deals and I hope that continues. I am going to visit a friend on Monday and that should be good.

my vacation

So here I am in the US. It has been 4 days. I miss my boyfriend, but I am really enjoying my time with my mother. I really enjoy shopping. I dont shop as much in Trinidad.
Nothing really interesting to report, but things are going fine.

I am going to see my mommy. It has been a long time.

Chef in the making

I had macaroni and cheese for dinner last night. Not the mac and cheese from the box, a gourmet macaroni and cheese. This meal had broccoli, olives, tomatoes and vienna sausages. I enjoyed that meal so much eh. It was fabulous!!!
